Identità Golose presents “Identità di Riso” in Milan

Monday 20 May will be a day to remember in the rice sector: the President of Ente Nazionale Risi Paolo Carrà spoke at Identità Golose in Milan, to sign, along with the Italian Association of Ambassadors of Taste, a Memorandum of Intent to enhance Italian rice, with the aim of promoting an excellent product that identifies and distinguishes our country.

Born from the idea of a rice producer, Cristina Guidobono Cavalchini of Riso Buono, the project boasts the collaboration of Paolo Marchi, founder of Identità Golose, a prestigious gourmet event that is held yearly in Milan.

Cristina Bowerman, President of the Ambassadors of Taste, underlined how the training of catering professionals is essential to educate cooks and consumers in the choice of Italian and sustainable agri-food products. Here is where the Ente Nazionale Risi and its Rice Research Centre come into play to organise training sessions for chefs and professionals in the gastronomic sector. “Our aim – said Carrà – is to transfer to chefs the greatest amount of information regarding this cereal, which plays such an important role today in the context of a correct and healthy diet. We will have the pleasure of establishing several masterclasses at our Rice Research Centre, to experience first-hand what is behind this precious grain: namely tradition, innovation, quality, all of which is immersed in a unique landscape”.

A dozen companies attended the meeting to support the project, which we are proud to be a part of with our 100% Italian rice by the Principato di Lucedio.
